We are Members of the FCI, of the German Retriever Club and of the Chesapeake Bay Retriever Club of Nederlands www.straight-and-gentle.eu Chippewa-Treffen im Aachener Wald - Juli 2012     Spirit of Chippewa Wir haben mit 4 Indianern , dabei Samtess und Bosco den Aachener Wald unsicher gemacht, Hunde und Menschen hatten einen Riesenspaß. Als wir loszogen, waren nur Chessy (sprich Kessy) und Lui frei gelaufen, wir anderen hielten die Hunde noch zurück, aus unterschiedlichen Gründen. Nach und nach durfte immer ein weiterer Hund frei laufen und bald liefen 5 Chesapeakes und ein Chessie-großer Labrador um uns herum und es gab kein Geproll, kein Knurren, kein Mobben. Bosco hat Lui einmal deutlich erklärt, dass er der Chef ist und sich keine Frechheiten von Jungspunden gefallen lässt, und Lui hat sofort den Kopf gesenkt und 'Wird gemacht, Chef!' signalisiert. Samtess ist einmal dazwischen gegangen, als zwei Indianer einen dritten bedrängten: 'Auseinander!', auch das wurde sofort respektiert. Ansonsten haben Bosco und Samtess zusammen mit den Jungspunden getobt, dass uns das Herz hüpfte. Four Chippewa youngsters together with their mother Samtess and our labrador dog Bosco met in the Aachen woods for a busy afternoon with their owners. Needless to say: both parties had a lot of fun. At the beginning, just Chessy and Lui moved around freely, whilst the remaining dogs were tightly kept, after a while we released one after the other and the whole pack mingled and started to stroll through the forest. Amazingly, everything went well and there was no embroilment, no noise and no mobbing at all. Of course all of the dogs were very dynamic and moved around like crazy. ... All in all, we were happy to see how the dogs behaved: Beaver and Lui always keppt a certain distance between them and could be easily controlled. Bosco told Lui very clearly who the boss is and Lui understood: he lowered his head and said “okay boss”. Also our Samtess observed her youngsters quite thoroughly: as two Chippewas urged on a third one, she intervened with all her authority and all the”kids”got the message immediately. Apart from this little educational work, both elderly dogs were fully incorporated in the pack, so that all the owners were fully pleased at the end of the event. Results 2014  Ergebnisse 2014
